UMBC has always looked to the future -- and the founding of the Erickson School of Aging Studies in 2004 was a signal that the university was eager to prepare students to provide care for a rapidly aging population in the 21st century. Erickson School dean Judah Ronch (center) and graduate program chair Joe Gribbin (right) spoke to students of the school in 2011, and have helped guide the new initiative past is first decade of filling a much needed gap in American higher education.
