On November 30, 2015, Dr. Hrabowski joined Senator Barbara Mikulski and Assistant Secretary of the Navy Dennis McGinn in establishing Maryland's first Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) at UMBC. The program provides undergraduates the opportunity to earn a commission in the Navy or Marine Corps upon graduation.
